the lovers, the dreamers & me...

Hello!

My name is Emily and I am the EAW in EAW Photography. Photography is my art and is so special to me. I have another full time job, meaning I only do photography on the side. This also means I am intentional about how I go about my sessions and spend my limited time. Like we all know, time is limited and when doing sessions it is important for me and my clients to feel fully in alignment with what we are doing together.

My favorite things are travel, my cats, music, the sun, thrifting, plants, my friends and my family.

I am passionate about many things in life including gender and racial equality, ending pet homelessness and caring for the environment. Just to name a few.

I am a firm believer that the best photos start with a story, not a pose. A experience, not a chore. I am in this industry because I love capturing your TRUE story, not the expected story.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. It’s an honor that you are on this page even considering having me document some part of your beautiful life. As Ram Dass said, “We’re all just walking each other home”. I’d love to walk with you.

How do you handle travel?

For weddings and any other shoots, there is a travel fee added for any location further than 60 miles from Lafayette, Indiana. We will go anywhere! Just name it!

What should I wear to my session?

I want you to wear whatever you feel beautiful in. I want you to be able to relax and have fun instead of worrying about what you look like. I always suggest flowy clothing as it’s the most flattering for us all. I am a sucker for a good boho look and it goes super well with my editing style. As far as colors go, neutral colors work really well for photos. It’s all about what you feel comfortable and pretty in. I am happy to help you decide on outfits!

How many photos do you give?

I don’t set a limit on how many photos I edit and give. If I took a good photo of you, you’re going to receive it. I firmly believe in never withholding photos from my clients. I am capturing some of the most important moments of your life and I want you to have every memory I have. As long as the photo is not a duplicate, no one is blinking, talking, etc. you’ll have it.
